Doulas

Are you looking for someone who can support you and your partner through labor? A doula provides emotional and physical support, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience that can help you navigate your way through this journey. Doulas do not provide clinical care or make decisions for you. It’s important that you find someone you feel comfortable with so call a few doulas and go with your heart. To talk to me about doula support, please call me at 941 527 7161 or email me at chantal@butterflybirth.com.

Elimination Communication Group

Thinking about going diaperless? That’s what Elimination Communication is all about. It’s never too early to start! See my Store page for a link to a good book on the topic: Diaper Free by Ingrid Bauer.

ICAN: The International Cesarean Awareness Network

ICAN is a non-profit organization with a three-fold purpose:

  1. To lower the rising cesarean rate through education,
  2. To provide a forum where women and men can express their thoughts and concerns about birth, and
  3. To provide a support network for women who are healing from past birth experiences and for those who are preparing for births.

This group is for the benefit of birthing women in the Sarasota-Bradenton area. If you are recovering from a cesarean, planning a VBAC, searching for care providers, or planning an upcoming birth or pregnancy, and want information to prevent cesareans and have a healthier, more positive experience or learn more about birth, ICAN welcomes you!
